Elizabeth 'Lily' Kempson was one of the last survivors of the 1916 Easter Rising. She was a member of the Irish Volunteer Army and a precursor to the IRA. In later life when she got married, she was formely known as Elizabeth McAlerney. He died at the age of 70 in 1940. Her mother, was originally from County Wicklow, however, she died at the age of 48 in 1919.
